Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Thank you, Jay!

I am wondering if the fishing conditions in the East River will be manageable on Saturday. The winds are forecast to ramp up by mid morning to about 15 knots from the SW with gusts in the 20s. And in the afternoon steady SW winds of 18 knots and gusts of 30 knots.

Can anyone tell me if it will be manageable and what kind of water clarity to expect? Also if launching at Sheridan would be ok or if it would be wise to launch elsewhere.

The clarity will be fine early although it may cloud up a bit as the day progresses and it almost certainly will be way off on Sunday and Monday if the last weather forecast I saw holds true. The Grand Island side of the east river will be very fishable with the conditions you mentioned. If Sheridan is too hairy, you may want to consider Isle View or Nia-wanda. Other options include launching at Ontario and fishing the canal. You'll be fine in the South Gap as well. Good luck.
If I didn't have to work, tonight screams all-nighter.

Thanks Scott. I was thinking along the same lines except I wasn't sure about where to launch. I guess it would be best to stay away from Sheridan even though it might be ok in the morning. It could be rough on the return in the evening.

Launching at 1am. ;)
