Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Thank you, Jay!

Jo jo: Buskies are good. Hopefully there was a good year class a couple years ago. Keep the recruitment going.

I fished today 6 to 11 am. Spent a lot of time in UN 11 and 12, casting and trolling the deep edges of the weed lines. My old haunts. No fish. Only true test will be after dark. Used to be my favorite area. Still very peaceful with no other fishermen and very few boats. If I could catch a few fish there it will be very telling. Telling in an adverse way if I can't. But need the dark.

Actually, in the 80s and early 1990s we caught many and some large fish in 11 and 12 daytime. In the mid- and late 90s it became an incredible night fishery. I need to do an all-nighter to give it a fair test.

Also tried UN 2 and 3 with tubes. Same result.

I think I need to avoid these hot sunny days. Stick to cold fronts.

Probably shouldn't say all those bad things about the musky gods, either.

I'm down with an all-nighter.  Let me know when you're going.  With this heat and stable weather, the nighttime is the right time.

If you fellas have room for a third please consider me.  Night is turining into one of the only times I can fish now, I have always wanted to fish with the likes of veterans such as yourselves and I would like to learn a bit about trolling the river from trolling masters.

Will do John.  You can jump on with me.  We should try to get a few more boats to see what's going on in UN 12, 11 and 10.  It's nice and peaceful down there.

I wouldn't call myself a "trolling master" though.  I just pull lures around more than everybody else.  I'm bound to catch something once in awhile.
