Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all. Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

I pretty much have my heart set on a new helix 7 , anyone who has one and would like to send me there input. Or anyone who has the side imagine, I’m not sure I need it for the extra $200- thanks . Also if the club has any coupons for Cabelas they would like to share.

I picked mine up late last summer. It's a really nice unit although a touch screen would be nice. It has great resolution and good speed, so you get a pretty accurate view. Side scan and down imaging are a real plus and worth the extra $$.
Hi Pat,
I bought a helix 10 last year. Love the unit.
Not sure if the 7 has it, but Mega imaging gives a great view of the structure, almost picture-like, although you won't see the fish as well as the regular sonar. Side-imaging is nice - especially for trolling down the river. Again, great resolution. Not sure if it's a necessity, but fun to have and useful for finding structure.
I don't think you can go wrong with the unit, but the one mistake I used to make was foregoing some of the extra features due to cost, but then wishing I had them.
Tony
