Lake Chautauqua Conference

There will be a conference on Lake Chautauqua Management on June 15th at the Chautauqua Institution. If you fish Chautauqua, this might interest you. If you don't fish Chaut, you might still be interested. Topics covered will be weed management, wildlife & fisheries, Chaut's aquatic plant community, what's happening in NYS, and several more. There is no charge but they're asking for pre-registration.

June 15 is opening day on the Great Lakes. Tough sell.

There has been quite a bit of back & forth "disagreement" between the angling community & the lakefront cottage owners. Maybe that day was purposely picked to keep the angling numbers down. l hope not. They need to figure out how to work together instead of poking each other in the eye
