fishing report

landed a 32" in UN2 and a 30" in UN13 on a black ninja tube this morning. saw a few deep follows but nothing that looked big. water was 75 when I left.

Haven't logged on since last week. Toothy and I fished US waters in upper river on Sun. 7/8. Launched at Isle View about 7:30. Jigged in front of Strawbery Isle. Gin clear water, no hits, no sightings. Trolled the channel in same area between West Marine and Black Rock with no luck. Took a swim by motor Isle. The water was somewhat cloudy there . Maybe we should have tried casting there. Trolled from south GI bridge to Isle View. No luck. Floating weeds were bad on GI side but OK on east side. The water was also very clear there. I was surprised to hear that Jim Kinner said there was active fish high in the water column. The sun was very bright and we could see bottom in 20+ feet. We called it quits about 3:00. This was my second time out this year. Not even a hit so far.
