Fishing Report 7/16

Too tired to be eloquent.  Carrie and I, upper river, 5:15 AM to 11:30 AM.  2 for 5.  Lost one upper 30" jigging near Thompson's.  Saw it hit something on the surface and dive.  Smacked my tube a second later.  Carrie lost a dink casting a bucktail in UN1.  I landed two dinks speed trolling weeds in UN2.  Lost a high 30 to low 40 speed trolling.  It jumped immediately after hitting my Wiley.  Very cool to see.  Looked like a fat fish.  The water on the Canadian side was 74.9 degrees ay 11 AM.  Hope for cold nights.  Out early tomorrow.  Could be my last hurrah musky fishing for awhile.  Hurts, but oh well.

I forgot to mention I did land a pig of a bass on a Ninja.  It hit right after I lost the jigging musky and dear God did I hammer this poor SOB.  I sort of feel bad for the smallie.

I feel bad for the ones that try to eat it with their stomache and I rip them nearly in half.
