Jon and fished parts of the east and west this am. I caught 2 bass. One on a homemade pikie, one on a Depth Raider. Maybe we should have been drop-shotting.

If you're not holding your rod, is it better to hear your line out alarm and be disappointed with the bass? Or is getting skunked preferable? I caught a pig smallmouth last fall bottom crushing really fast with a Toothy and I couldn't have been more pissed when I grabbed the rod.
