The April newsletter exemplifies the incredible passion and dedication to the fishery and each other that members bring to this group.  Totally impressive!  Personal and family thanks to Scott, Carrie, John, Tony and everyone else for all you all do for so many others that may have no idea.  Never Stop! It will be interesting to see how the new rules on min length allow for even bigger monster musky now.  The cover and story in the new NYS Fishing Regulations booklet is something that will forever remain in the posterity of NYS.  Awesome job! NMA friends...what a super banquet! Each year in spring, on the 4th floor of the Pearl Street Grill, a special party brings together the greatest gathering of meaningful musky anglers in the world.  The exciting slides, stories that were shared, lure tables and prizes, all were beyond expectation.  When we first arrived, I tried to buy a youth ticket for my grandson, Scott countered "no, he is still kid, he is our guest tonight! I just found out through my Boat US enews that there is a recall on certain Kidde disposable extinguishers that were made in 2013 and 2014. here is a link to find out if your extinguisher is included.

Today I acquired gift certificate donations from Salvatore's, Russell's Steakhouse, Natalie's Mediterranean Eatery and Antoinette's Chocolates. This raffle is going to be amazing!!!

The fishing & hunting newspaper New York Outdoor News has generously donated two one-year gift subscriptions to their paper to be raffled off at our banquet.  I just subscribed to it & it costs around $24/yr, so if you like to hunt or fish, here's hoping you win.

Musky Hunter magazine has generously donated a one-year subscription to our club to raffle as a prize at our March 28th banquet.  See you there & I hope you win!!

A reminder that the DEC will hold its State of L. Ontario meeting tomorrow Mon, the 16th at the Cornell Co-Op Extension Bldg, 4487 Lake Ave, Lockport.

Last year's was well-attended with a wide range of speakers and topics covering salmonids, sturgeon in the lower river, sculpins, gobies, baitfish, water quality, stocking programs and VHS. I learned something new in that muskies are one of the most susceptible fish to the virus.  Never knew they were that high on the chart.

The Western New York Sport and Travel show is over! (Phew!) As far as I know we did not sign up any new members this year but, I know we had some interest in the club today and I am hopeful that we will see some new faces at upcoming meetings.
