State of Lake Ontario
A reminder that the DEC will hold its State of L. Ontario meeting tomorrow Mon, the 16th at the Cornell Co-Op Extension Bldg, 4487 Lake Ave, Lockport.
Last year's was well-attended with a wide range of speakers and topics covering salmonids, sturgeon in the lower river, sculpins, gobies, baitfish, water quality, stocking programs and VHS. I learned something new in that muskies are one of the most susceptible fish to the virus. Never knew they were that high on the chart.
Last year, speakers from both the U.S and Canada took turns presenting their material. Time is from 6:30 to 9:00 pm.
