Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all. Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

here's the latest news of LE ice cover:
Lake Erie – Niagara River Ice Boom Update Spring 2015 The current International Joint Commission Order of Approval governing operation of the ice boom requires that all floating sections of the boom be opened by the first day of April unless there is more than 650 square kilometres (250 square miles) of ice on eastern Lake Erie. Other factors such as the quality of ice, ice build-up in the river above/below the Falls, in the lower Niagara River or prediction of unfavourable weather are also considered. Following is information on the Spring 2015 ice boom monitoring efforts: Note that updates are ordered with most recent at top:
April 15, 2015 – Based on the ice flight by representatives of the International Niagara Board of Control; the ice cover on the eastern basin of Lake Erie is estimated to be 2,176 square kilometres (840 square miles), well above 650 square kilometres (250 square miles). Ice boom removal will not be initiated.
April 14, 2015 - Based on analysis of RADARSAT-2 imagery obtained from Environment Canada, the ice cover on the eastern basin of Lake Erie is above 650 square kilometres (250 square miles). Ice boom removal will not be initiated. Ice flights will begin this week if weather and operationally permitted.
Larry..I saw a lot of ice on a drive to Dunkirk last Sunday but it was pretty broken up. Last year, removal was April 29th & the latest ever was May 3, 1971. I'm thinking that this year it might go past the May 2nd walleye opener.
