Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Larry...I heard that the CG really clamped down on all the commercial regs & especially PFD's ever since that glass-enclosed ferry boat flipped over & sank (within minutes) in Lake George.  21 elderly, many in walkers ended up dying.

On top of that, anyone who would be out in a kayak, in any temperature water, ought to wear a PFD.  I have a nice 'yak Class III PFD that rides high on the back so it doesn't interfere with sitting in it.

Carrie, Good Luck in the brown water! I know now that I said that you will most likely catch a 55" Fat Slob!

Larry: the water was green with about 3 feet of visibility with hot colors.

I carry a ladder that hooks on to the gunnels of my boat.  When I fish alone I place it in the stern so I can access it (I hope I never have to) from the water.  After I went for a swim (sort of) while fishing with Jojo a few years ago, I figured I'd better have a ladder on board.  Without it, if I ever fell overboard, I'd be just another sad statistic.  Let's stay safe out there this fall, gang.  I know it's cliche, but better safe than sorry, especially when we are fishing in cold water.
