Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Thank you, Jay!

Went out for a few hours Sunday morning. First time in a while. Wanted to make sure everything still ran. Caught nothing casting tubes. Trolled a bit, but floating weeds were a problem. No Moss.

Water temp down to 73.2. Water level was as high as I've seen in many years. Don't know why. Maybe just a brief event?

I was wondering about the water levels in Erie. Ontario has been higher than normal for the past month an a half. It was low in the spring but the current levels are what we typically see in late spring.

Tony...I've noticed the same thing when I've been out sailing this year.  You can see the difference in the water level when looking at the breakwall outside Buff Harbor.

My own (personal) thought is that with all this rain the past few months, the ground has become saturated enough to start giving up water.  I have noticed, though, that when it rains, the L. Erie feeder streams will fill up quickly, but will also go down just faster than I would expect.

Same/same with the moss.  I'm not picking it up on my rigs like recent years past...jj

Water does seem a bit higher.  It still doesn't stop boaters from getting into trouble.  It would be nice if reports about boats hitting a rock would be more specific than "in the river".  How about 200 yards east of the water intake, or something like that. I know where the reefs are but I could always use refreshers.

Seiche.  With the steady west winds we get more water.
