Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Thank you, Jay!

Did another 4 hour tour. This time tubed in the west river. Started at 6:30am and at 7:15 had a beat-up 36 incher. Broke one of my Loomis's unhooking him. I think they have lifetime warranties? I hope so, this one is about 15 years old. Also saw Bob Hey release an upper 30 incher shortly afterward. Both in UN2 Canadian drift.

After losing a couple tubes, one on the cast, I realized the other Loomis I was using had a crack in the tip and was fraying my line. At least that's an easy fix. Bad day so far.

Having run out of casting rods, I tolled a bit. Had a little rip near the Canadian Marina. Rod bounced towards boat, pulled back a bit with a little rip, back towards boat, another little rip and then nothing. I think it was a bass, or a very small musky.

Although I've been catching a fish most every morning, still can't catch one after 8am. I'm sure it's just me.

I do believe there's lots of 30s out there. Seems if you fish mornings, evenings or nights, you can hit one (me) or two (probably you) almost everytime out. Every 4 or 5 hours or so. That's actually quite good. But if you want a bigger one you may have to do the Larry in the harbor (or the Reinhardt at night). Thanks a lot, Larry, now I really don't know where to go!

As Larry knows, back in the late 80s/early 90s, we used to catch fish in the harbor all summer long, especially at night. I guess we can still do it?

What's up with rods blowing up lately?  Two ten weights and a Loomis is two days?  I think I'll go bass fishing.  I can't afford a new musky stick right now.

Tony, I remember catching muskies at night in the Harbor in August back in the late 90's and a few were 49" & 50" in early September!
I will give the Harbor the first two hours of darkness the next few times out! What am I talking about the 44"er was daylight in early morning.I do not know what pattern to follow either, just try them all!
Hit the water with cullen this am. Hit a tubby upper 30s fish casting 1 of his "Lil getter" baits in un1 first cast of the day. 15 minutes later he landed a similar sized fish on a black tube. 8 am or so got a mid 30s in strawberry drift and then we headed back up to hide from the wind. Found a bunch of good sized fish using the shallows below Thompsons and had 7 or 8 follows and 1 bite the tail off a mag dawg mid to late morning. 3 fish, couple missed opportunities, par for the course I guess.
I lost the tip of compre i bought from club. Add that to the rod count!
All the fish I moved yesterday were low to mid thirties except a follow from a mid 40s. Last I heard from my buddy this morning he got a small one and had another small follow. How small has yet to be determined
