Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Thank you, Jay!

Wasn't too sure if I was going to go out this am. Thought the winds might be too light. But at 4:30am checked the weather report and it called for north winds under 10. Well, I like north winds, so I thought I'd give it a try although they were a bit light.

And the rest of the week didn't look promising for wind.

For some reason I was in the mood for trolling. Maybe because of all those muskies McKee has been catching. If McKee could catch muskies trolling, surely can I? Maybe it was the north breeze. Love those north breezes. Muskies always biting on a north wind. Here. There. Everywhere. Maybe because I was too tired to cast.

Started up top of un3. Said hello to Carl. Shortly after I told Carl "nothing yet", I hooked a fish. I let it shake loose at the boat. Not too big. Eyeballed it at 32 inches. Letting it shake the lure loose easier on me, and much better for it. Caught at 6:15am on a Tonylure(homemade) silver flash 10" diver.

Trolled across to the west and down river a bit, but no luck. Tried some tubing, but still no luck. Lot of moss in the west. And my heart said to troll, especially with the north breeze. So I headed back to the east to troll down to the Holiday INN, GI side.

Passed Jojo on the way and said hello.

Shortly thereafter hit another fish, in front of the launch club (It must be good luck to say hello to your muskie brethern). Also let her shake loose at the boat. Thought I might need the net, but as I was reaching she shook off the lure. Eyeballed at 34. I think around 8:30am. Straight Depthraider firetiger.

Continued my path down the east river, GI side. Under the Bridge hooked a third. Eyeballed 33 (they were all low 30s, I think, but my eyeballs aren't what they used to be. Maybe they were mid30s!). Also let her shake off (worked good today). Same d-raider. Trolled down to the Inn and had time for a short troll. Problem with the GI side was all the floating grass. Mounds and mounds of it.

I could troll through it because I hold my rod and can steer aroungd the bogs, but still a lot of work. So I decided to try the Tonawanda side. Not many weeds on the Ton side, but no fish either. Had to quit at 10:15am.

But I like 3 fish mornings. I like north winds. I like eary mornings. And I like it that it's only Mckee and me trolling the river (I can't let Scott have it all to himself). And I like it when my muskies can shake themselves free without being netted or touched. Give it a try and you might save a few muskies as the temps warm (water temp 74 today).

North breeze tomorrow but I can't get out. Shoot.

Good Day

I tried trolling for hours this morn at the crack of assanity( trying to get my  other nephew his first???) till 730, nutin honey. I do not like the north winds. Except to study new spots, the north wind accentuates the ripples on the surface and shows me where the humps and  drop offs are in unfamiliar areas. Went home and walked the line in UN4, Dylan pike and bass, me, my first Tiger a 36" stocky and almost 9 pounds.  Bouncing a Rapala Shad Rap, in a  Parrot costume. WOW I finally broke the twenty something mark??? Plus 2 Buskie Foollows.

The children of the troll have come home.

love the tigers, althought they have eluded me so far.  Did you snap a pic to share of the wild tiger?

Good Day

No, thought of it after. It was a pretty fish very green. Dogged me on the bass gear.
