The 8th annual Mark Troy Memorial Musky Tournament will be held Saturday October 4th on Waneta Lake. It is put on by Jim Reynolds, Bob Saucke and Captain Ed Cragg in memory of Jim's friend and fishing partner, Mark Treau, who passed away in 2006 with cancer.
This is a catch and release tournament. Judge boats are used to verify your catch. Tournament hours will be 7 am til 3:30 pm. Morning fog could delay the start. Registration will be at the boat launch between 6 and 7 am. The entry…

I just got an email from Navionics saying that Windows tablet and PC users can get Navionics Boating but it says you have to have Windows 8.1 or higher. Here is the Press Release.

got slammed at 11:30 (broke my jinx). chubby 45", good net job by carl, after yelling at him, (i get really excited when i get a big fish). took almost an hour to revive him, then finally, went back to my slow, sloshing back & forth, definitely revived him! almost to rupert's wall & he was swimming fine!!! thank god!

Hi All, casted and trolled the east river thurs. eve.for a while to see how the weed was ;not too bad. had a 18 in. bass hit my jointed perchbait. fished with Richard Minich fri morning 6 - 10. trolled triangle , east , and west. nothing. good luck to all.

If you can spare any time, please stop down to the Kids Fishing Derby Saturday, the 12th from 9:00 to 12:00 but if you can put in only one or two hours, we'd still like to have you stop in. Don't be shy.

In the Rochester newspaper, there was an announcement about this group. It says it was formed improve the quality of Lake Ontario and Lake Erie tributaries as well as the Niagara River. They are holding their first stream cleanup at 8:30 am next Saturday (opening day of Musky) at 18 Mile Creek Burt Dam.
