Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all. Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Nothing to do with fishing. Got a text from my son today. He's finishing up a trek in Nepal that went up from Khatmandu to the first Base Camp of Mt Everest. Here's a pic on the way down. There were no good shots from the Base Camp. Everest is the "small" one off in the distance, in the center…

NMA club member Denny Malinowski asked if I could give a presentation on our telemetry study to the Irondequoit Fish & Game Club in Ra-Cha-Cha on Tuesday the 11th. The presentation is nothing that you haven't heard before but if you feel like blowing off a few hrs Tues evening, give me a buzz. I'll pick you up & do the driving. The area around the club is pretty neat & I've been told I'll have to make a slight detour because of the LO high water. I'm leaving Lake View around 4:30…

Received a text from the DEC today mentioning that they've been out in the Harbor doing their electro-fishing for our telemetry study and have only two more muskies to go. I'll try to get a report for our June meeting.

Many thanks to everyone who cleaned Strawberry today! We were graced with three new volunteers, Jo Johnson (BNW), Megan (her birthday weekend). I wish I could spend my birthday cleaning the islands! And Jake. Jake's a diehard duck hunter & my hero. Those who hunt ducks are a different breed. But what an education he gave us out there. Missing from the pic is Jo Johnson.…

The DEC got the last receiver in for the spring spawning run. This one is going right in the middle of SBH. They talked to the Marina Prks Dept & the marina's manager & got the OK to hang one down off the wave attenuation dock at the Harbor's entrance & one in the middle of the Harbor. We might not be able to do anything as far as habitat creation but it will give them a lot of info of musky movement if there are any future permits requested (weed cutting, dredging,…

Larry sent me this pic of Jo Bucher & walleye pro Alan Haas at the St. Croix Rod Fishing Summit at the rod factory in Park Falls, WI. From his texts, it was hard to tell who had more stories, Joe or Larry.
