The DEC is scheduled to be in the Harbor on Friday, the 30th to pick up our receivers. They'll be taken back to the garage, downloaded & the data sent to GLATOS. Then we'll have all winter to scratch our heads & figure out what's going on.
If you see a couple of them in orange float suits & a boat that looks like the pic, give them a wave, let them know you're in the NMA & give them some room. Chris Driscoll (the new fisheries biologist) & Justin Brewer, plus maybe…

Capt Bob Walters of Waterwolf Charters will be giving a presentation at our meeting Monday Sept 17th at 7pm at the moose lodge in Henrietta NY. He is noted for underwater video of muskies chasing lures in the SLR and will have some of his best video to show us.

The dive report sounds like some fishing reports: "We got nothing."
The muck was so deep at the Cargill that one diver stuck his arm into it up o his elbow, with no resistance. The silt is so fine we picked it up on Andy's fish finder when it was kicked up with their flippers. They saw no fish of any kind.
Bottom conditions at the Bell Slip was slightly better but it was like looking for a needle in a haystack. Saw one decent largemouth

For those who know or read Bill Hilts Jr's column every week, he posted his mother's obit today. She was taken by ambulance to Hospice a couple of days ago & went to her final home yesterday. Here's the info:

As we are so will our children be. She must have been one heck of a wife and mother.

The Bad News: got an email this a.m. that Buoy #11 near Strawberry is missing.
The More Bad News: That's the one that had our receiver on it
More News: I won't call it Good News. Maybe Not as Bad News: There are still a few damaged buoys that haven't yet been retrieved but don't know what the numbers are because the tops were destroyed. Maybe #11 broke off or got knocked out of position. Buoys have Hull I.D. #'s so they'll know when they're…
