Keep in mind that I am always looking for images for our newsletter; fish, sunsets, sunrises, other anglers fishing, equipment, anything fishing related. I can use them all.  Large, unedited images are best. Thanks.

Christmas Party

A great time, especially catching up with those I don't catch up with as much as I should. That's the best. However, the food was absolutely awesome & many thanks to FAS for his & other musky catching (or attempts to catch) stories

SBH

Larry sent me a couple of pics of SBH launch ramp. Apparently, the ramps were plowed closed because of ice on the ramp. The other pic is of a 20+" drift. Thx, Larry…

NO TELEMETRY TAGGING FOR THE WITTEK

The DEC cancelled their plan to implant the last two transmitters during the Wittek. This DOES NOT affect any plans for the Wittek. If you catch a musky in the Harbor no need to call for the DEC boat but you might still want to call Scott with the measurement, if it's a winner.

There is supposed to be a small craft advisory for the lake tomorrow so it could make transferring a musky from a boater's net to the surgical ship dicey, if not dangerous, so they'll have to wait for the…

Near Shore Marine Forecast

Here's the Near Shore Marine Forecast out of Dunkirk. Good thing the Wittek is in the Upper Niagara: The 24 ft waves make for a good walleye drift

Mt. Everest

Nothing to do with fishing. Got a text from my son today. He's finishing up a trek in Nepal that went up from Khatmandu to the first Base Camp of Mt Everest. Here's a pic on the way down. There were no good shots from the Base Camp. Everest is the "small" one off in the distance, in the center…

Up thru Sept 2, 2019 a person won't need a fishing license to fish the NY side of Lake Ontario or the Lower River:

Irodequoit Bay Fish & Game Club

NMA club member Denny Malinowski asked if I could give a presentation on our telemetry study to the Irondequoit Fish & Game Club in Ra-Cha-Cha on Tuesday the 11th. The presentation is nothing that you haven't heard before but if you feel like blowing off a few hrs Tues evening, give me a buzz. I'll pick you up & do the driving. The area around the club is pretty neat & I've been told I'll have to make a slight detour because of the LO high water. I'm leaving Lake View around 4:30…
